LISA THEORET
I studied Urban Design and Interior Design at London Metropolitan University and Utrecht School of Architecture in Amsterdam. I have been privileged enough to have had some great mentors during my time as a junior designer who have allowed me to work with them side by side, this has impacted on my life considerably and has made me the designer I am today.
First and foremost I am a painter, I love to paint. It is this creative energy that led me to become an Interior designer, an industry that am proud to be a part of.
I am passionate about travel and try to experience new places whenever I can, these moments greatly influence not only my work as an artist but as a designer and I pride myself on using these experiences to create new and innovative spaces for the modern world.
ANNA NIKITANA
"Born into a family of furniture and textile designers in Moscow, Russia, I have always been fascinated by human creativity and its impact on our lives. To better understand human nature, I studied sociology at the Moscow State University where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. My creative education continued at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles which I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in interior design.
Imagining, designing and creating new things are my passion. I strive to combine practicality and beauty, convenience and aesthetics, art and utility in my creations. Ability to work with living spaces on an intimate scale fascinates me. I love to travel for inspiration and visited half of Europe in pursuit of its classic beauty and progressive modernity. Technology is a friend of mine that I use to better express my ideas and complement presentations and sketches that I love to do by hand.
JANSEN HALIM
I left home at the age of 12 to further my education overseas, which gave me the opportunity to travel and explore different cultures, languages and people. I went to study in a wonderful island in Malaysia called Penang. With my background as an Indonesian – Chinese, I was able to pick up Mandarin quickly during my studies in Penang. Besides English, I am able to converse in three languages fluently (Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin & Fujianese).
I had always have a strong interest in art and music, and loved to be surrounded by creative people such as my family who were artists. They inspired me to expand my knowledge of art and design in the USA. Recently, I graduated with honors at the Art Institute of California – Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design, and earned the Best Portfolio award and was on the Dean's list during my duration.
In my work, I strike to not only improve the quality of the spaces, but to approach projects from a fresh perspective. Although I seek to create new design methodologies, honesty in design is of great importance. Constructability and realism are indispensable. Logical concepts, functionality, and sustainability form the framework for each of my projects. It's all about the space, because we are immersed in it.
